N C E In a thirsty land in a hot desert wind where what is soft is hardened here a rose of purity grows in dead sand where sons of faith became hardened stones and men of God became barbs and thistles He set his foot in the shifting sand and became our cornerstone |

| What was wild and fierce sought his submission and the rose was bruised, broken and pierced and left on a hill to whither Suffering and dying he cried "I thirst!" and they left him there until his heart burst And yet, the rose would not harden and returned to even greater splendor |

If you could peel back the walls of my
heart
hidden in the innermost folds
what treasure
lay burried there?
It is light and love that reveals
the yearning creature's desire for perfect
love
When the seven questions of God's love
test
your heart to the third degree
will your heart really say
Yes,
Lord I love you?
When all the fires of His
love
light up my heart and no hidden thing
remains
what will I say to the God
who suffered for
his creatures?

cool waters raining down over me washing the broken rocks smooth that no one who walks in my heart should wound their feet |

The Deepness The weight of an ocean covers me drowned in the deepness of myself my vision becomes a hardened fossil encased on a dark bottom shore my tears are trapped with me in layers of dark sediment None of these things are hidden from you you are the fisherman of the lost catch that draws me to his net Caught up in life and brought to the surface of new being I feel the frothy waves of living splash against my heart Released from captivity . . . from promise to
fullfillment
the scroll of our heart unfurls
and we write our lives onto
the scroll of time
adding richness to the story
Folowing
the revelator who sees from scroll to scroll
we change our hearts and change
our parts
and correct the flow
our lives become their intended
meaning
a revelation of the heart
at the wonder of our worth
At
the appointed time we will tell our story
to the throne of Love
and when
our names are added to the book of Life
the scroll of time becomes the loop
of infinity
around the throne of Love
